Cyber Security Specialist

Protecting organisations from digital threats with expertise in security architecture, threat analysis, and incident response. I am seeking opportunities to help forward-thinking teams build resilient and practical security programs.

Professional strengths

What I bring to a security team

The qualities recruiters, hiring managers, and engineering leaders can expect when I am working across risk, architecture, and incident readiness.

01

Analytical Problem Solving

I approach complex security challenges methodically, breaking down intricate systems to identify hidden vulnerabilities and build effective, sustainable solutions.

02

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Security is a team effort. I translate technical risks into business impact so engineering, operations, and leadership teams can move with clarity.

03

Continuous Adaptation

The threat landscape evolves daily. I keep learning, testing, and refining my approach so my work stays useful in real-world environments.

About

My professional journey

A dedicated cyber security specialist based in Brisbane, Australia, focused on building resilient systems and supporting a practical culture of security within engineering teams.

My career in technology began with a deep curiosity about how complex systems operate and, more importantly, how they can be compromised. That interest naturally guided me toward cyber security, where I found the work that motivates me most.

Over time, I moved from general IT and infrastructure responsibilities into more specialised security work. That path gave me a broader view of enterprise environments, from the networks and applications underneath them to the operational constraints that good security needs to respect.

Today, I focus on identifying vulnerabilities, improving security practices, and helping teams build more resilient defences against evolving threats. My approach combines technical depth with clear communication so security supports business outcomes rather than becoming a blocker.

Continuous learning

Staying current is part of the job

In cyber security, old knowledge expires quickly. I invest in regular learning so my decisions stay grounded in current threats, modern tooling, and practical defensive patterns.

  • Active engagement with emerging threat intelligence
  • Ongoing pursuit of advanced security certifications
  • Regular participation in technical security challenges and labs
Professional philosophy

Security by design

I believe effective security should be almost invisible to legitimate users but difficult for an attacker to bypass. That means identifying risks early, designing with intent, and building controls that fit naturally into the development and operational workflow.

I also value clear communication. Technical risk only becomes useful when stakeholders understand what it means, why it matters, and what action is worth taking next.
